There are few movies that ever come along that I will bother to purchase. This year Hollywood managed to sneak in two fabulous additions to my collection of favorites. Favorites being movies I never tire of, movies that once in awhile I will simply suddenly get the urge to see.
(currently consisting of: Breakfast at Tiffany's, Chocolat, Almost Famous, Annie Hall, When Harry Met Sally, American Beauty, and a few others...)
This year these won their way into my heart...
MIDNIGHT IN PARIS
With its gorgeous costumes...
Fabulous Characters...
And a story I wish would never end...
Swept me away to a beautiful place, and a beautiful time, and of course reminded me of all sorts of important and intriguing things about life and love, handled most humorously, as Woody Allen always does.
and of course...
THE ARTIST
again with the costumes...
and of course the dog...
and the other fabulous characters...
and a story, executed in the most magical way, that left me dancing out of the theater, and inspired me to search out a whole new world of film.
I will be viewing both "With Pleasure" for years and years to come.
Thank you Hollywood.
